Correcting time codes in Dédalo

In the project we are currently working on, we’ve encountered an issue with one of the interviews. Initially, we carried out the transcription and indexing based on a first audiovisual file. Later, this audiovisual had to be replaced because it contained an error.
The new version of the audiovisual ingested into Dédalo is approximately 10 seconds longer than the previous one. As a result, the time codes entered in the transcription no longer match the new file.
Could you please let me know if there is a way to correct or adjust the time codes without having to re-enter them all manually, one by one?

Hi.

In Dédalo you can easily offset the TC using the Time codes tool.

You can locate the tool is inside the «Description / Transcription - rsc36» Audiovisual field:

And inside the tool you can set the offset of the TC's:

The offset can be a positive or negative. If you set a 10 seconds all TC will moved ahead this 10 seconds:

00:00:00.000--->00:00:10.000
00:00:07.400--->00:00:17.400
....

Sorry, but I can’t manage to apply the operation you indicated. I’ve found the tool to make the changes, but I’m not sure about the correct formula format to use in the relevant field for the change to take effect.

Formula? You don't need any formula. As you can see in the placeholder, the field specifies the offset in seconds. If you want to advance the TC by 10 seconds, you must set the field to: 10. If you want to reduce the TC by 5 seconds, you must set the field to: -5.

Only numbers are accepted. Positive numbers to advance, negative numbers to reduce.
