In today’s meeting, we covered topics related to the Immovable Heritage / Archaeological Sites section.
First, Elena Moreno explained how her team is using this section in the Cádiz project to provide the archaeological context for coin finds.
Following her presentation, the discussion focused on the following points:
Flexible model for the “Measurements” field. We reviewed the flexible approach currently adopted for recording measurements. It was agreed to add a new field in the portal to increase the precision of the list of measurement-type values. The intention is for concepts such as maximum and minimum to be recorded in this new field, which will allow the measurement-type list to be simplified.
New field: “Attribute-based description.” We agreed to add a new field called “attribute-based description” to enable a structured and standardized description of immovable heritage elements. The aim is to generate a detailed description using attributes across three levels, based on value lists that depend on previously selected values. The specific implementation approach remains to be defined.
Dédalo graph system and potential adaptation for Harris diagrams. Finally, the Dédalo graph system was presented as a starting point to explore how it could be adapted to produce excavation diagrams in the style of a Harris Matrix. This is a longer-term idea that will require further definition in the future.
