Acknowledgements

Hi All - as I think we are all aware with coins/objects from some countries we are obliged to publish an acknowledgement of the heritage organisation alongside any image as part of the permissions process. I am looking at the numismatic object fields and there doesn't seem to be any option for this (e.g. something like the 'acknowledgement' in the Nomisma RDF), e.g. text like 'Per gentile concessione della Direzione Regionale Musei Lazio – Palestrina /Roma - Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Palestrina e Santuario della Fortuna Primigenia'. Have I missed something? (If its not there I think I will just move all these acknowledgements into 'related bibliography' ;-)).

Hello. I’m not fully sure about the solution, but there are different options.

A simple approach would be to include that information using the collection field that appears in the Numismatic Object section. It would be a bit odd, but it would work. This implies to create an entity with such a name.
Another option is to add that information in the Image section fields that are intended for rights/copyright.
Possibly the best option is to use a field in the Entities section. In other words, the acknowledgement is not tied directly to the coin, but to the record of the collection / institution, so it only needs to be entered once and can apply to all the coins in that collection. What I’m not sure about is which field is best suited for that kind of information, but any of them could work, or a new one could be created.
What I am sure about is that if the acknowledgement is not for a single coin but for a group belonging to the same collection, the information should not be stored at the coin level, but in the corresponding institution/entity record.
