This is a summary of what was discussed on the Archaeological Friday meeting (held on thursday this time).
Everyone agreed to register the session.
We discussed 3 main themes:
Use and function, we reviewed the use and function resource in the terms proposed in this threat. We finally agreed
to include a new field named exactly "Use and function." Some projects may point to the object thesaurus if it is organized by use and function, while other projects might develop a separate thesaurus specifically for use and function, so we could have de possibility to choose between the 2.
Intervention and restauration resources, in the last meeting we agreed on a fixed list of inspection categories such as "critical," "urgent," "moderate," etc. Alex raised a concern about whether this list is common to all projects. We agreed that it is best for the list to be private, allowing each project to maintain its own customized list. We also agreed to review the resources of activities, specifically "intervention", "restauration process" and "parameters of preventive conservation"
Atributes of stratigraphic units. We reviewed the tree that Enric has shared in this threat: We observed that the "Measures" resource, which is used in objects, can also be applied to Stratigraphic Units (UE) and could be utilized accordingly. After some discussion, we agreed that the Stratigrafic units will have Measures, Processes, and Attributes as separate categories. We need to create a new unified thesaurus for ATTRIBUTES, which we also agreed is has to be named "Attributes" as well. This thesaurus should allow users to navigate through the hierarchy, select multiple items at once, and display the entire structure within the resource. Enric will review the hierarchy to separate Processes and Measures to establish the foundation for this new thesaurus.
NEXT MEETINGS: We agreed to alternate between Restoration and Archaeology themes each month. We have scheduled the next meeting (Restauration) for April 30th, 2026, at 12:00 PM.
