@Alex @PaCo @Markus @Jonas von Felten @elena @Manuel Gozalbes @Margareth
in DISCO, we work in different languages (german, french, italian, sometimes english). And not all the text fields are translated in all languages (and never will be). Many text field are in only one language.
The SEARCH in text fields is now limited to the language version we are working in.
So when working in german, I cannot see the search results in french texts (and do not see themm filled with the * search).
numisdata5 (complex), search numisdata1455 "" (= not empty) plus numisdata1475 "" (= not empty):
36 results when searched in GERMAN
406 results when searched in FRENCH
0 results when searched in ITALIAN
0 results when searched in ENGLISH
We talked about that with Alex:
- most of you work in one language only - you do not encounter that problem
- most of you will translate (and want to see witch fields are not yet translated) - so the language sensitive search is important for your workflows.
Alex proposed to leave the normal search as it is, and to add a additional "button" or whatsoever to activate a multi-language search.
Is that ok for the rest of you?
Best, Rahel
