Proposal: A new kind of Friday Meetings: Archaeological Friday

Hello all,

As we are dealing with archaeological data in the exhumation of mass graves, I found it interesting to propose a new kind of Friday meeting where we could discuss specific issues for this kind of project.

Since Memory Friday sessions currently take place on the last Friday of each month, I suggest that we meet every third Friday of the month, at 12:00.

Obviously this is a proposal; if you prefer another Friday, it is OK.

I think it's interesting that we meet on a regular basis, because our experience with Memory Friday meetings is really enriching and contributes to Dédalo's improvement beyond each individual project.

For me is ok any Friday (except the Memory Friday's) , the only thing is to know the day to schedule it (and not use to other task)

I proposed every 3rd friday of the month if this is ok with you. This month @Manuel Gozalbes cannot attend. What do we do? change it or maintain it? It will be an introduction session.

After a conversation with Alex, it seems best to schedule the Archaeology friday meetings two weeks apart from the Memory Friday meetings. This means we'll have the Archaeology meetings in the second week of the month and the Memory Friday meetings in the last week of the month (as before).

Therefore, I propose that the next meeting we have scheduled to discuss the uncertainty surrounding the data become the first Archaeology meeting. So, we'll meet this Friday at 9:00 a.m.

We can use the memory friday meeting link to connect.

Después de una conversación con Álex parece mejor fijar las reuniones de Archeología separadas dos semanas de las de Memory friday. Eso quiere decir que tendremos las reuniones arqueológicas la seguna semana del mes y las Memory friday la última semana de mes (como hasta ahora).

Así, propongo que la próxima reunión que tenemos fijada para tratar la incertidumbre del dato se convierta en la primera reunión Arqueológica. Así nos encontramos este viernes 14 a las 9 h.

Summary about our first Archaeological Friday, dedicated to data uncertainty:

@Manuel Gozalbes presented a proposal for a thesaurus to categorise data uncertainty, emphasising that it is a work in progress and has to be discussed.

He demonstrated how the thesaurus is applied to numismatics, suggesting that having five levels of data uncertainty may be excessive and that three levels might suffice.

He also expressed that maybe "data uncertainty" is a concept too restrictive, and we are going toward a "data frame" that could be useful to explain different aspects of the data, as for example, to be reviewed, need more research, etc.

We agreed on:

Continue the data uncertainty / data frame discussion on the AGORA
Share in the agora the proposal of the thesaurus that numismatics is using, so we can discuss it and arrive at a consensus on a thesaurus that is shared with all projects (as toponymy). Maybe we could share a document.
We skip the December archaeological meeting. The next meeting will be held on the 16th January. We will announce it in this Agora.

@Alex or @PaCo, can you please create the label for Archaeological Friday meetings? (no hurry on that)
