You are absolutely right. What was previously called the restoration section has now been deliberately renamed in a more generic way as intervention. This is the section where all analytical work should be included.
This, of course, also covers analytical studies of coins, including metal analyses. The only caveat at the moment is that the specific development of the intervention section is not yet finished. The intention is for it to be flexible enough to accommodate any type of analysis related to any kind of cultural heritage object, not only coins. In other words, the intervention section should ultimately allow for all forms of analytical work across different object types. We are therefore still at the stage of finalising how the fields of this section should be defined.
