I understand the big picture and I agree with the general approach. The problem is that the typology
field, is more like a general and plain list. In parallel we have the objects thesaurus, where the list of terms is much more complete and we would like to use for describing accurately documents which are not planned to have a tch
record (i.e. current administrative documentation).
Maybe a solution is to rename the field typology
as group
intended for a general description or grouping, and then to add a traditional field for typology
linked to the thesauri. I know that maybe sounds strange because this affects to other resources, but the main thing here is that seems very useful to be able to describe documents more precisely (letter, invoice, loan document, envelope, poster or whatever....)
Is there a feasible solution for this?
Alex Indexation is used by Objects, Photographs and Documents, it could be useful in others?
I understand that, if indexation is treated as a common solution, is very delicate to remove some thesauri from there.
