the authorship issue (again)

Hi again,

As you know, I work with student volunteers and we even do internships in class. It is very difficult for me to check the work of each of them. I have tried to search using the “modified by user” filter but it doesn't work, if someone enters the same file it doesn't come up anymore. Any suggestions? It would be so interesting if I could automatically link the authorship field (or a part of it) when giving the type. Although I imagine it must be difficult.

Hi Ruth
I usually give the instruction to my students of signing each record they do in the authorship field (the one at the end of each record). This way, I can make the searches properly using their names.
Also, I ask them to give me the id of the records they modify or create, in a way I can recover them easily just with the id. Even I ask them to give me screenshots of their work, for better control of the qualifications.

Thanks Elena, but I find it strange that the “modified by” filter does not give results. I would expect that if you search in numismatic object the Type (*) and modified by “x”, it would give some result. In fact I remember doing it sometime with the previous version (Maria also). Maybe we have cache problems as it has happened to us in other aspects? Although Maria has updated the cache and got no results either, any more suggestions? @elena @Maria Alc @Felipe @Alex @Manuel Gozalbes

The filter only find the person that done the last update in the record, not the previous changes. All changes in specific field can show it in the component history as part of the Time Machine data inside the Inspector but, right now, this information is not searchable in the filter.

Therefore, the filter will find the person who made the last change and works in the same way as any other previous version (v5, v4, etc), this behaviour was not changed.

We are implementing a Process task portal to add this kind of information, but is not finished.

So, as @elena said, filling in the Authorship field might be the way to go until Process taks is implemented.
