Our group has some requests:
We would like the "Object" thesaurus files to have two additional fields:
• One for "Period" related to the "Period" thesaurus [hierarchy1_256]
• Another for "Culture" related to the "Culture" thesaurus [hierarchy1_255]

In the "Object" files within the Inventory, we would like two new fields to be included:
• A field for "Culture" related to the "Culture" thesaurus [hierarchy1_255].
• A different field for measurements. We prefer it to follow the numisdata4 format.

For "Object" and "Immovable property" files, we would like the entire hierarchy to be displayed in the "Material" and "Typology" fields, as it is in the "Place" field.

We would like the "Entities" thesaurus to be converted to a tree format, as it is much more visual.

To facilitate the search for the different sectors of an archaeological site, in the field "Place" related to the "Immovable property" thesaurus [hierarchy1_263], we would like this search to be performed based not only on the "Name" tab but also on the "Code" tab.

Object thesaurus is nor for specific objects, is for conceptual things as:

coin
picture
telephone
etc

Therefore the thesaurus is not for specific objects, but for concepts, and the concepts has not a specific "period" or "culture", because "coin", as conceptual object, is used in ancient periods, medieval and modern era.

But is true that you could need specify a time frame or space frame for a conceptual object, in those cases is possible define the time frame, or the geographical space in the fields:

but in a nutshell. You can use Period / Culture / Dynasty / Style tch554

Habana • A different field for measurements. We prefer it to follow the numisdata4 format.

Measurements is a complex and undefined thing. Some objects need X,Y,Z or width, heigh, deep, but other as amphorae need a base radius, some need a ample, large, or armhole or.... lots of combinations. Coins in numisdata4 has specific measurements because the model has only 1 kind of object, so, yes, is more easy use a fixed fields, but is not possible when we have a mixed type of objects. However, you can change the ontology with your own tld to customise the model as your wish.

Note: don't use any of the common tld if you want to preserve your development. see this and that

Entities are in the way to convert into a thesaurus, but is not totally ready... it will be.

I think that in the case of material, in most cases, is clear just showing the term. It can happen that the tree includes several entries above the term like;
Copper | Processed material | Inorganic processed material | Metal | Material: according to origin
This information seems not relevant and occupies a lot of space. Of course everything depends on the thesaurus tree contents. Maybe it's interesting to implement your proposal, but do you have an example of the content you would like to display from your thesaurus? It is a similar model or it's something different?

In our case, we don't use codes in the section `inmovable property. When we have codes are always part of the name (sectors, areas, stratigraphical units...). Do you have an example? Do you mean to use secondary codes? Maybe it's interesting if codes are used in another way.

The "Typology" field [tch241] in the Catalogue Object records is related to the Object thesaurus [hierarchy1_258]. In our case, when introducing ceramic typologies, they have a defined time frame. For example, a typology that is produced between 1650 and 1675.
Therefore, I would like to make the following requests for the files in the Object thesaurus [hierarchy1_258]:
Regarding the "Time frame" field [hierarchy30], would it be possible to add the possibility to enter only the year, without the day and month, to avoid confusion?
Regarding the "Space frame" field hierarchy42, it is an open text field. Would it be possible to link it with the "Toponymy" thesaurus for more precision? Or is it preferable that this information is directly reflected in the "Geolocation" field [hierarchy31]?

An example of content for the Typology field would be the following:

Mayólica

Archaic

 - Late
         - Vegetal
         - Geometric
         - Figurative

This way, the thesaurus would display in the field as follows: Figurative, Late, Archaic, Mayólica.

In our case, the "Immovable property" thesaurus [hierarchy1_263] is organized as follows:

Site 1
- Section 1
- Square 1
- Layer 00
- Layer 01
- Layer 02
- Section 2
- Square 1
- Layer 00
- Layer 01
- Layer 02

Once the search is performed in the field, the information is presented as follows:
Layer 00, Square 1, Sondage 1, Site 1
Which we find great. However, to perform the search, we have to type the last part of this thesaurus, which is Layer 00. But since there are many sites and each has a Layer 00, we see all the Layers 00 from all the squares of all the sondages of all the sites.

The search bar does not allow a more selective search by separating with commas.

Therefore, I propose that the search can also be performed based on the record "Code" [tchi13] so the record for Layer 00 of Square 1, Section 1, Site 1 would have the corresponding code: SITE1-S1-01-00
This way, maybe the search criterion would be much more precise.

Let me explain it:

Location ---> access to toponymy and linked to the Geolocation, when you set a municipality the Geolocation will move to this location (if you want to preserve it you will save Geolocation position, if you don't save it, the Geolocation will reset)
Geolocation ---> map that you can move or draw things as points, areas, etc.
Space frame ---> description of the space/s linked to the Geolocation, so you can add text related to points, areas, etc.

Well, the autocomplete search is not set in any case to get the parents of the term, the search always search into the term, but not into the parents because they are related to the term into the thesaurus, they are not into the same record, to get the terms by parents is a complex search situation , it works into the «Objects» search (tch1) or other inventory sections, but get the terms by parents are not a simple situation when you want get the specific term, but you want to search by his parents...

Update your installation to get it, but, it is a temporary thing, if nobody objects to it, it can be set as permanent.
